Divine Childhood

When Lord Shree Krishna was born, the heavens rejoiced, but Kamsa, Devaki's brother, grew fearful. A prophecy had foretold his downfall at the hands of Devaki's child. Determined to change destiny, Kamsa made several attempts to slay her children. But when Krishna was born, he was smuggled across the Yamuna River to Gokula. There, he was lovingly brought up by Nanda, the leader of the cowherds, and his wife Yashoda. The lush green pastures and grazing cows became Lord Shree Krishna's playground, where he spent his days playing with his friends and protecting his beloved cows. His childhood was filled with divine experiences and joy, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Later, Lord Krishna and his brother Balarama defeated the evil king Kamsa in Mathura. With the kingdom no longer safe, Lord Krishna led his people to the western coast of Kathiawar, where he established his court in Dvaraka.
